| Summary: | Three decades after the coup d'etat that ended Allende's life and his government. Chile's political evolution is examined within the world developments and changes. Democratic and dictatorship governments make up the thirty years. Political groups adopta historical project (its own history) and a national project defined by a technocratic academic elite. This is Chile's political characterization, the post dictatorship re-democratization, slightly different process from the other ones in Latin America. This form of democracy has disappointed the majority in the country, especially recent generations, who have felt the effects of a one-country-led economic globalization. Besides showing some elements of the ideological evolution in Latin America, this paper exposes the mechanisms by which political cadrres hinder the democratic process. |
