| Resumo: | The Second Mexican Empire was a time of complicated transition for Emperor Maximilian of Habsburg and his wife Carlota, in which various armed conflicts were involved in taking power in the "new world". However, within this struggle for power and the origin of new governments, medicine could not be left behind, thus giving the inclusion of doctors of Austrian origin and the development of medicine in our country, in addition to the treatment of the main diseases that afflicted to our authorities in those times. |
