| Sumario: | Coahuila stands out for a law approved in 2014 that served as an input and immediate antecedent of the reform that gave rise to the General Law of Transparency and Access to Public Information, approved in 2015 by the Congress of the Union. The harmonization of the Transparency Law in Coahuila in 2017 meant new emerging challenges that have not yet been resolved in the public administration. The objective of the article is to identify the challenges faced by the Transparency Units to guarantee the citizen the exercise of the right of access to public information. To achieve this, a survey was applied to various obligated subjects in 2018, the results of which suggest the importance of strengthening an organizational culture of transparency and the use of public information to add public value to government action. |
