| Sumario: | The present work presents the results of the design of aknee joint for prostheses, exoskeletons and bipedal robots, madefrom the geometric synthesis for planar mechanisms. Takingadvantage of the anatomical advantages provided by the mechanismsof four bars to reproduce the movement of the kneeon the sagittal axis, in the gait cycle; a configuration of crossedbars is presented, which mimics the performance of the crossedligaments of the knee. According to the results obtained, it waspossible to construct a minimum prototype of an active transfemoralprosthesis to perform the complete cycle of gait, whichis adequate to the parameters of locomotion in adults. |
