| Sumario: | This work arises from the concern of a math teacher in teaching a subject related to algebra at the baccalaureate level. In particular, it is observed that a group of 15 students from the Luis Moya Campus of the High School of the State of Zacatecas (COBAEZ) make mistakes when performing addition and subtraction of polynomials, especially when the polynomial coefficients are integers or real negatives. For this reason, the objective of this paper is to design and apply a didactic sequence to address the issue of addition and subtraction of polynomials with the use of didactic material, for students of the first semester in the Mathematics I class of this institution, so that the young people of this group, make use of it as support to build their knowledge. As a theoretical framework, the Theory of Didactic Situations will be used and, as a research methodology, the Didactic Engineering. It could be concluded that the proposed didactic situation with the use of the didactic material "The container" contributes to students taking ownership of this knowledge and achieve the proposed tasks autonomously. |
