Descrição
Resumo:Zazacuala is an archaeological site that has gone through archaeological rescue and rescue interventions. Thanks to these, it was possible to define it as an important pre-Hispanic settlement with a rich cultural history, from the pre-classic period to the late postclassic period, its maximum expansion being in the epiclassic period. This archaeological site parallels Huapalcalco since both are contemporaries and cohabitate in the same valley. However, Zazacuala has not been given the same importance and is consumed by the urban area of the three municipalities surrounding it, Tulancingo de Bravo, Santiago Tulantepec, and Cuautepec de Hinojosa. That is why it is relevant to highlight the archaeological works that have been carried out on the site.
