Sumario:The objective of this work was to know the importance for students of receiving formative feedback in the Distance Higth School of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMéx). To contextualize on the subject, the formative feedback is established through a process which aims to provide elements on the academic performance of the students, but above all it allows them to obtain more than a numerical qualification. The methodology used to obtain the results was qualitative. Data collection was done through the focus group technique applying a semi-structured interview to eighth quarter students. In the results it was found that the students do integrate the activities according to the instructions or evaluation rubric, and in case of doubts, they solve them independently without the need to request support from their teacher.
