Sumario:Acoustic communication is the most studied modality of communication in anurans. However, among the repertoire of acoustic signals known for anurans, the traditionally described one is the advertisement call; courtship and distress calls are less well-known. Since characterizing acoustic signals in anurans is useful for studies in ecology, systematics, and evolution, as well as for the implementation of management and conservation strategies, in this study we describe three types of vocalizations in the glass frog Hyalinobatrachium tatayoi (Centrolenidae). Between July and December 2022, we conducted 21 nocturnal field trips to a locality on the western slope of the cordillera Central, in the department of Quindío, Colombia. We obtained recordings of 407 advertisement calls emitted by 21 males, 230 courtship calls emitted by nine males, and eight distress calls, two emitted by a male and six by a female. Our description of the advertisement and courtship calls, based on 13 features (seven spectral, six temporal), is the most detailed of those published to date for H. tatayoi. Moreover, it comes from a population that is separated from other populations for which these calls have been described by the presence of two mountain ranges. A preliminary comparison of advertisement and courtship calls among populations of H. tatayoi reveals low intraspecific geographic variation in dominant frequency and call duration among some populations. To date, four types of call are known from the repertoire of acoustic signals in H. tatayoi: advertisement call, courtship call, distress call, and agonistic call. Although not all features of these call types have been quantified with the same level of detail, H. tatayoi becomes one of the Centrolenidae species for which its repertoire of acoustic signals is best known.
