Sumario:Número 118Enero - Abril 2007ISSN 0041 8633 EL PROCEDIMIENTO DE CANCELACIÓN DE LOS TITULOSVALOR Pedro Alfonso LABARIEGA VILLANUEVA* The author of this detailed study about cancellation of commercial paper offers a wide historical analysis of this legal institution. Moreover, the essay continues with a review of the Mexican legal system, trying to identify the doctrinal references of Mexico´s legislature, which have led to a peculiar legal regime in this matter. On the basis of the latter analysis, the author puts forward an argument in favour of a reform of the Law on Commercial Paper, which is too complex and is not practical, as far as the cancellation procedure is concerned.
