Sumario:Due to globalization and migration, most European societies have become multicultural ones. This article focuses on binational married partnership in which a Spanish national is married to foreign national. Using data from the Natural Population Movement of the Office for National Statistics (from 2005 to 2015), we analyze the sociodemographic characteristics of this type of couple. According to the results, there are differences when it comes to the geographic distribution of the married partnerships, the age of the partners, and the preferences when choosing the partner’s nationality.
