| Sumario: | Among the Rarámuri (Tarahumaras) a significant part of the body-cosmology relationship can be seen within the ritual dances through the analysis of one of the most used patterns: the spiral-like choreographies and, within them, the predominant levogyrous or counterclockwise direction over the dextrogyrous or clockwise. According to the author, this is the result from the importance given to the communication between the cosmic poles, the paths’ symbolism, the vital forces and, in particular, to the ascending forces’ symbolism. |
