Resumo:This reflection on the field of activity of librarians emphasize the effectiveness of Bibliotherapy in the reestablishment of individuals suffering from emotional disorders. The general objective is to discuss issues related to emotional disorders, while presenting Bibliotherapeutic suggestions as complementary alternatives. The field of action, both for the librarian as for any other professional, implies realizing that each profession is linked to a certain level of knowledge. Bibliotherapy as a reading practice uses verbal and nonverbal texts as adjuvants in the treatment of people affected by physical or mental illnesses. Bibliotherapy is recommended for people facing emotional disorders.
