Sumario:This article addresses the last stage of the work of the Spanish-Mexican Mar-xist Adolfo Sánchez Vázquez, demonstrating that as the teleological matrix of histheorical proposal weakens, his attention to the normative dimension of marxismintensifies. Starting from exposing the crisis of the obstetric conception of politicsin marxism, we analyze the way in which, in a context marked by the advanceof postmodern postulates, Sánchez Vázquez’s reflections are reoriented towardsmoral and political philosophy. This turn of his production has repercussions onhis understanding of marxism, so that its rescue as a moral idea (as truth) becomesthe axis of the late work of Sánchez Vázquez.
