| Sumario: | The study of craniofacial growth is complex, taking into account the individual variability in speed and direction of growth, as well as the variety of structures and organs that make it up. It should be remembered that although dentists work with physical structures (teeth and face), one of the main reasons for orthodontic treatment are its psychosocial effects. The understanding of the different mechanisms of craniofacial growth, is definitive for the management of malocclusions based on aetiology and thus, be able to determine with some certainty the prognosis of treatment. |
