Sumario:Under the process of globalization and The regional integration processes, the border spaces experiencing major changes in their functions and in their level of influence in other spaces. This is shown by the reconfiguration of the border areas within the European Union, Mercosur and to some extent under the NAFTA. The particular objective of the study is to analyze the characteristics that the reconfiguration of the territory of Mexico border with the United States and its new governance processes where multilevel governments (state trilateral level, bilateral, federal, local and cross-border) and agencies private and civil society are called to play a new role in the process of building a transborder region.
