| Resumo: | At the twilight of progressivism, the amount of contradictions grows in South American governments: emancipatory symbolisms and capitalistic privileges in State institutions are underway. Based on the Bolivian case, this article intends to explain how the Evo Morales government reshaped the leadership of a stable political State after five years of rebellions (2000-2005) by making an alliance with the dominant class, utilizing a unique and sustained hegemonic force in detriment of community social organizations. It allowed him to neutralize andweaken the strength of these social organizations as well as erase any form of response. |
