| Summary: | The low-cost prototype of a small capacity Buck converter is presented, for the teaching of converter modeling and control, using the TMS320LF2407 digital signal processing card and VisSim ECD software for control implementation, and the IGBT IRG4PC50U and to the IR2110 controller, for construction. The analysis determined the gains of the PID controller to achieve the overdamped responses in a certain period of time. Tests carried out indicated adequate operation for different output voltage requirements. Also, the robustness of the PID controller was tested by varying the load, finding an output voltage with a high ripple value. |
