Sumario:Spanish-Mexican relations entered a new phase during the Por finato. The changes in the intemational context and the issue of Cuba conditioned these relations and the end of Spanish interventionist plans in Mexico determined their shift towards of normalization. In this new atmosphere it was easier for the two countries to start solving bilateral conflicts and it was possible for the strong Spanish community in Mexico to carry out its activities un der the protection of constitutional guarantees.
