Stability analysis of PD AQM control for delay models of TCP networks

"This paper focuses on the local stability analysis of nonlinear delay models of transmission control protocol/active queue management (TCP/AQM) networks by using a Proportional-Derivative (PD) controller as AQM strategy. More precisely, we derive the complete set of PD controllers that exponen...

Descripción
Sumario:"This paper focuses on the local stability analysis of nonlinear delay models of transmission control protocol/active queue management (TCP/AQM) networks by using a Proportional-Derivative (PD) controller as AQM strategy. More precisely, we derive the complete set of PD controllers that exponentially stabilises the corresponding linear delay system. Nonlinear sufficient stability conditions for the local asymptotic stability of the equilibrium are derived by means of the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach. The robustness issue to uncertainty in the network parameters is also addressed. The results are illustrated by means of some numerical examples."
