Description
Summary:This article presents a critical exposition of the dominant model in contemporary macroeconomics known as the New Neoclassical Synthesis or New Macroeconomic Consensus (NCM). The critique is directed at the notion of equilibrium that displaces the more realistic aspects of the functioning of contemporary macroeconomics, namely: asset inflation, real yield decline, and hierarchy in the international monetary system; facts that stimulate to search an alternative representation of macroeconomics.
