Sumario:In the realm of higher learning, the Faculty Improvement Program is a frequently debated topic due to its impact in public state universities where it is being applied. This is why the Program has been highly criticized for its role in higher learning politics. Still, the Faculty Improvement Program critics do not have fundament. That is why this paper seeks to explain the nature of this Program, dispute the main objections to it and present its characteristics and achievements up today.
