Resumo:The present work analyzes the reason for the permanence of the Real Audiencia y Chancillería de Guadalajara, in the Kingdom of Nueva Galicia in the middle of the 17th century, after the crown was proposed to suppress it, due to the lack of work and because of the cost, this was due to the fact that there were a series of incidents that accelerated and merited a Visit and a series of consultations with various officials, who opted for the suppression of the Audience, this due to the lack of "agreement" among the officials and the apparent lack of work of these, which caused it to submit to the Consejo de Indias, for which the permanence or not of the  institution was raised, all from a series of letters, consultations and visits contained in a file in the Archivo General de Indias.
