| Summary: | The trigeminal neuralgia is a sudden and severe; pain affects the quality of life of persons suffering from. There are several ways to treat trigeminal neuralgia; the most used are drugs and surgical procedures (which may put at risk the physiology of the patient). Less invasive methods in order to minimize the pain and discomfort during and after dental interventions, low-power laser is an instrument that provide these actions; which stimulate the biochemical effects, bioelectric, systemic, photochemical, biophysicists, biostimulants, interfering in the message of the sensory nerves promotes microcirculation and microestimulación at the cellular level giving an effect of analgesic, anti-inflammatory and healing. Therefore the speed of the application, the minimum restrictions on use and good results, make the laser should be considered as an important tool, not only as an adjunct to conventional therapy, but as a support to combined to other procedures provide the best results to our patients and with reduced work times. |
