| Sumario: | In many regions, for various reasons, the soils are having problems of salinization, which has resulted in low agricultural production, so to evaluate the effect of salinity, with or without soil improvers, on germination, Biomass production and forage quality of Leucaena lanceolata (Guajillo) and L leucocephala (Guaje) were carried out several research works in laboratory, greenhouse and field. In germination, in a completely randomized design with 12 treatments in a 3 * 4 factorial arrangement, the two species were evaluated with 3 levels of saline solutions, 0, 25 and 100 mM Na from chlorides or sulfates, combined with four levels of CaSO4, 0, 1, 3, and 10 mM of Ca. The germination capacity of both legumes was evaluated in petri dishes with saline solutions, up to eight days post-treatment. In the greenhouse, the production of forage biomass and nutritional content of guajillo plants developed in plastic bags was evaluated, to which the saline solutions were applied as irrigation water, in a completely randomized design with factorial arrangement 3*4. |
