Sumario:Since the beginning of the medical-surgical practice, complications in anesthesia have been of great interest for the severe diseases that can be generated, and its unknown origin and the problems involved during surgery. Malignant hyperthermia was long a syndrome of unknown origin and was the cause of innumerable deaths and until the early twentieth century with the help of genomic science is unable to locate the point of origin of the syndrome. The purpose of presenting this case report is to present the main signs and symptoms that alert the occurrence of this syndrome and to present treatment options and management given to this case. In the case presented clinical signs and symptoms more significant as temperature and blood pressure in addition to parameters that provide studies as blood count and blood gases are addressed. Likewise the pharmacological management and mitigation measures used to reduce symptoms occur.
