Sumario:This research analyzes female participation in coffee production in San Miguel Quetzatepec, Mixe, Oaxaca, highlighting their involvement in all stages of the process. The study was conducted between August 2023 and May 2024, applying Chesbroug’s (2003) theoretical model of innovation with systems approach. A mixed paradigm was used, with quantitative emphasis, through a closed survey of 60 questions to 70 ran- domly selected women producers. Results show that most women, between the ages of 31 and 60, combine agricultural, domestic and community activities, although in- equalities persist in decision making and access to certifications. The Garnica variety is the most widely grown and certified organic coffee is a differentiating factor in the market. Findings confirm the relevance of sociocultural factors in community organi- zation and in the resilence of women producers. It is concluded that it is essential to strengthen training, to expand access to resources and to recognize the contribution of women in order to move toward a more equitable and sustainable coffee industry
