Landscapes, or the spatial element of human geography, demarcates the emotional environment and provides evidence for social transformations. The aim of this paper is to explain the influence of cultural dynamics on the sense of belonging in expatriate communities, as well as its consequences on the construction and meaning of ways of seeing, thinking and feeling about landscapes by migrants. Finally, the discussion supports the importance of using landscape as a tangible and non-tangible model for cultural transformation caused by mobility. Therefore, landscapes may be considered as a unit of spatial analysis for understanding the cultural implications of migration.La sociedad actual se caracteriza por constantes flujos de personas y grupos, quienes transportan cada uno su cultura de un lugar a otro; fenómeno que se acentúa en el mundo contemporáneo y por lo tanto, debe considerarse un tema de estudio relevante. En este sentido, es importante considerar al paisaje como unidad espacial de la Geografía Humana, que enmarca el ámbito sensible de los lugares vividos y por lo tanto evidencia las transformaciones sociales. En este sentido, el presente artículo explica la importancia de estudiar la dinámica cultural de la pertenencia en las comunidades de emigrantes y su consecuencia sobre la construcción y significación de las formas de ver, pensar y sentir los paisajes en la migración.
