Descripción
Sumario:Human settlements are born and grow in favorable environments. Throughout the history of mankind, people have sought different spaces located in geographic areas that would enable them to obtain what is necessary from the environment for their survival: water, food, shelter. Through them, population growth is possible, as well as productive activities that enable community members to produce and exchange not so immediate products .As effect of growth in the number of inhabitants and economic activities under-taken by them, the environment is gradually losing its ability to provide all the resources needed, creating complex and conflicting situations. This article examines one of the most important cases at present, the Metropolitan Area of Monterrey, one of the most dynamic in terms of industrial production, which is reaching the limits of its re-sources, the case discussed is the Monterrey VI Aqueduct solution, which is perceived as expensive, partial and short-lived to fully solve the problem of water supply.
