The investigation was carried out in the community of Cajititlan in the municipality of Tlajomulco de Zuniga Jalisco Mexico. The theory was founded on the subjective proxemics of social space and their dimensions, cognitive aesthetic, and moral, to diagnose behavior and attitudes, as well as the meaning of traditions and customs. Qualitative techniques (Ethnography, interviews, mapping) and a quantitative questionnaire with closed questions were used. A result, the population is losing interest in traditions and customs, as well as the minimal participation of neighbors, on the other hand, the municipality consults irregularly. It was concluded in a reflexive and committed manner based on the results and thus the hypothesis of the Identity Reconstruction Model was confirmed, which achieves the integration of the society and municipal authority with a common objective for the formation of social and cultural knowledge with the order to manage the development of Cajititlan. Este trabajo tiene la finalidad de realizar un análisis teórico del espacio público y sus componentes —identidad, patrimonio cultural—, en un entorno de la sociedad contemporánea, para diseñar un modelo de reconstrucción de la identidad. La investigación se llevó a cabo en la comunidad de Cajititlán, municipio de Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, México. La teoría se fundamentó bajo la proxémica subjetiva del espacio social y sus dimensionamientos cognitivo, estético y moral, para diagnosticar el comportamiento y actitudes, así como el signi cado de tradiciones y costumbres. Se utilizaron las técnicas cualitativas (etno- grafía, entrevistas, mapeo) y cuantitativas (cuestionario con preguntas cerradas). El resultado indica que la poblacio?n esta? perdiendo el intere?s por las tradiciones y costumbres, así como la mínima participación de vecinos; por otro lado, el municipio los consulta irregularmente. Se concluyó, de manera reflexiva y comprometida, con base a los resultados, y así se confirmó la hipótesis del modelo de reconstrucción de la identidad, que logre la integración de la sociedad y autoridad municipal con un mismo objetivo común para la formación al conocimiento social y cultural con el fin de gestionar el desarrollo de Cajititlán.
