Descrição
Resumo:In 2001 Catamarca was the province with the lowest level of poverty in the whole argentinien north. On the opposite Tucumán, whose economy was the most dinamic of the region, had a superior porcentage of poor homes. Taking for granted a strong link between economical processes and poverty, and that labour difficulties are an important component in that relationship, the article analizes how the lower levels of poverty in Catamarca´s population were consequence of being less affected than Tucuman’s population by regresive productive transformations and the employement problems.
