| Sumario: | Using structural analysis techniques and methods, this paper analyzes the integration of Uruguay into Mercosur and the integration of Mexico into NAFTA during the period 1990-2016 and compares the two. This analysis is conducted in the context of the process of economic integration between the main economic blocs in the Americas. The evidence and results suggest a divergence between the trajectories of the blocs and those of smaller partners. |
