Descripción
Sumario:We determined the presence, distribution patterns and the frequency of occurrence of glycosidic residues in the membrane of the sperm of the wild population of Chirostoma humboltidanum, from Villa Victoria Dam, State of Mexico. Semen samples were obtained from sexually mature adults without the use of anesthetics. The characterization of the glycosidic residue are carried out by means of lectins from plants: ConA (Canavalia ensiformis), WGA (Triticum vulgaris), PNA (Arachis hypogaea), PSA (Pisum sativum), and UEA (Ulex europaeus) together fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), for which 100 fields were counted for each lectin . Glycosidic residues were detected on the surface membrane of sperm C. humboldtianum were αMan, αGlc, GlcNAc (b 1, 4GlcNAc) 1-2, β - galactose, mannose terminal glucose, and Fuc present in head, but in the flagellum of the sperm is little or no presence of α - mannose, α - glucose and N- acetylglucosamine, finding five different patterns (ANOVA < 0.05), two of which are significant for their frequency in all sperm analyzed, the pattern a (concentration limit of fluorescence between the head and the flagellum) and pattern B (concentration of fluorescence in the center of the head) with an average of 32.2 % incidence in both the C pattern 4.6% D pattern with 5.2%, the pattern E with 12.8% and 13.6% Z, the latter is a set of different patterns, not defined . As an indirect measurement of the composition and functionality of the sperm membrane vigor swimming was considered in level 5, namely, the sperm showed strong and linear motion and found more than 75% of sperm analyzed movement, with a viability of 80.43 % and a sperm concentration of 1.82 x 10¹⁰ sperm / µL.
