| Sumario: | Número 113Mayo - Agosto 2005Nueva Serie Año XXXVIIIISSN 0041 8633 LA DIGITALIZACIÓN DEL REGISTRO PÚBLICO DE COMERCIO. ¿LA NEW AGE EN LA LEGISLACIÓN PATRIA? Pedro Alfonso LABARIEGA VILLANUEVA * Publicity is a central topic in the area of commercial law, since it gives firm support to the determination and certainty of legal transactions. In this essay the author argues that new legislation on the digitalization of the Commercial Registry, would contribute to the modernization of Commercial Law. In this way, the author examines legal doctrine and case law, in order to identify the rules that are applicable to said Registry, in face of the modernization that it has experienced, both at the level of the Commerce Code and the respective administrative rulings. The author concludes that the modernization of the Commercial Registry through a software called Sistema Integral de Gestión Registral, is highly positive, if it is established on the basis of the principle of operative autonomy and if it is governed by a federal statute law.
