The second architecture is a passive mode-locked laser with higher harmonics generation. Output characteristics are; center wavelengths 1563 nm, noise-like pulses with durations around 80 ns, harmonics evolution up to the order 1270, and repetition rates to 259 MHz. The results presented seek to provide a comparison between two types of optical fiber lasers of great technological interest. Este artículo presenta los resultados experimentales obtenidos en el desarrollo de nuevas arquitecturas propuestas para láseres de fibra óptica operando en el régimen de onda continua y pulsado. El primer láser es un Q-switched activo operando a 1565 nm con fibra de doble revestimiento dopada con Er3+/Yb3+, anchos de pulso del orden de cientos de ns, razón de repetición entre 200 kHz a 310 kHz, y potencia promedio de hasta 2.5 W. La segunda arquitectura es un láser de amarre de modo pasivo con generación de harmónicos de orden superior. Las características de la salida son: longitudes de onda centrales de 1563 nm, pulsos de ruido con duraciones alrededor de 80 ns, evolución de harmónicos de hasta el orden 1270, y tasas de repetición de 259 MHz.
