| Sumario: | In professional practice, the clinical psychologist has the obligation to communicate the results of his activity through a clear and precise report. This report is known in the literature as the Clinical Psychological Report (CPR), for its correct writing and presentation, the psychologist must know its structure, and a series of guidelines, as well as having a strict knowledge of bioethics. Some documents that the psychologist should keep in mind since these are the general guidelines and ethical considerations are the following: The Psychologist Ethical Code (2010), The Health General Law (2006), The American Psychological Association’s Ethical Code (Asociación Americana de Psicología, 2010), Guidelines for the Psychological Evaluation Process (GPEP, Fernández-Ballesteros y Calero, 2013), among others. In the present paper 10 basic recommendations are shown for the CPR elaboration in Mexico: have professional capacity or qualification, respect the patient’s intimacy, dignity, autonomy, and freedom, to respect and do follow the right of to inform the client, organize the report’s content, describe the instruments and evaluations carried out, ask for the informed consent, justify conclusions, keep the confidentiality, and professional secret. |
