Descripción
Sumario:This article analyzes the way globalization has led to the predominance of the movement of financial capital over the movement of goods. The internationalization of capital markets has required the homologation of economic policies on a global scale, in order to prevent the growing instability of these markets, such as currency markets, and the consequent devaluation of financial capital. Policies favor the profitability of financial capital and operate to the detriment of productive capital, the dynamics of accumulation of companies and the income of individuals, which eventually exerts pressure on the economic bases and compromises the ability to service internal and external debt. This has translated into problems of banking instability and growing intervention by the IMF which transfers resources to economies with problems to enable them to meet their financial obligations, thereby preventing the generalization of the payment crises that compromise the international financial system.
