Resumo:The positive attitude towards researchinghas been indicated by several authors as factorkey to obtain a school high-level achievementlearning of the Statistics, since it is a complex anddifficult discipline. Really with a positive attitudeis it possible to achieve a good learning of theStatistics? The aim was to determine the magnitudeand sense in the relation between Attitude towardsthe scientific researching and school Achievementreached specifically in periodic evaluations bringsover of topics of descriptive Statistics and inferencialin nursing students of a public university in Mexico.Study observacional, longitudinally, cross sectionaland analytical of relational level. Ecological designwith three measurements for dependent (AL) andthree measurements for independent (ATRS). Themajor puntaje obtained for both variables appearedin final measurements while lowest were in theintermediate ones. The initial correlation ATRS-AL was moderate magnitude and significant. Theanalysis factorial of the dimensions that integrateto instrument of measurement of the ATRSdemonstrated that the “ autonomy for the learning“ it is the factor that influences to obtain betterAL. One concludes that fact that a student presentpositive attitude for researching is not sufficient toreach a high school achievement, since it depends in mostly of his autonomy to  learn.
