Descripción
Sumario:The effect of four species of pollinators, such as Scaptotrigona mexicana, Partamona bilineata (both stingless bees with broad neotropical distribution in Mexico), Bombus ephippiatus species of Mexican bumblebee and the commercial exotic species Bombus impatiens, widely used in our country, were evaluated. On different agronomic parameters of the quality of tomato fruit Solanum lycopersicum L. (solanaceae) in commercial greenhouses of Southeastern Coahuila. Both species of bumble bees had greater effect on the polar diameter, mass and quality of the fruit, so that Bombus ephippiatus, is recommended as a pollinator in the tomato crop, because it is a native species and would not have risks of invasion and exclusion ; However the breeding has been difficult, so future research will be directed to the massive production of this pollinator.
