Descripción
Sumario:This research presents an extensive review of the theory of economic assimilation of the territory. This line of study of economic geography has been used to analyze the economic dynamics of the Mexican Republic. The present paper shows the epistemological platform, which emerged in the former Union of Soviet Socia list Republics, and the contributions made by researchers from the Institute of Geography at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In sum, our research exposes the epistemological bases and the methodological solutions related to each of the categories of the theory of economic assimilation of the territory: level, type and grade.
