Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this research is to evaluate the analysis of Tanaka Johnston mixed dentition with the people of Nayarit divided by gender, and adjustment to the formula if necessary. The research is descriptive, not experimental, transversal. The variables were: The segment consists of the sum of the values of the lower incisors mesiodistal. The segments formed by the sum of the mesiodistal measurements of canine, first premolar and second premolar of the maxilla and mandible, separated by gender. Are tabulated in the Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and statistical analysis was performed in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences Version 18. The sample consisted of 481 pretreatment study plasters. Results in the female population of the value of the maxilla was 10.5mm and 9.6mm in the mandible. For males, the values of 10.9mm in the maxilla and 10.2mm in the mandible. Were compared using t test results Tanaka formula Johnston and new values, with the actual values of the people of Nayarit. Conclusions: the adjustment to the formula of Tanaka Johnston by gender is more efficient to predict the size of the teeth to erupt from the people of Nayarit.
