Descripción
Sumario:Within the group of legumes that have edible seeds, common bean corresponds to one of the most important. It is currently distributed on five continents and is an essential component of diet, Especially in Central and South America. Mexico has been recognized as the most likely center of its origin, or at least as the primary center of diversification. Bean cultivation is considered one of the oldest. Some of the archaeological finds in Mexico and South America indicate that it was known some 5000 years before Christ.
