Aspectos genéticos de los sedimentos marinos de la boca del Golfo de California evidenciados por la geoquímica de sus metales pesados

Descripción
Sumario:Cu, Co, Ni, Cr, Ag, Zn, Cd, Pb, Fe and Mn measurements were made on ten cores from the area of the month of the Golf of California. The geochemistry of Fe, Mn, Cu, Co, and Ni suggest that three cores have components of hydrothermal character. Their origin is likely to be related to the hydrothermal effluent dispersion from the active field of the Mexican Pacific Rise at 21°N. The Mazatlán basin cores shows no heavy metal geochemistry connected with the hydrothermal source. We propose a wider range of the rations of key elements (Mn/Fe, Ni/Fe, Cu/Fe, Zn/Fe and Co/Fe) to characterize the composition of the hydrothermal sedimentary marine material.
