| Resumo: | The crab fishery in Sonora and Sinaloa is equivalent to 54% of the national production, with a value of 280 million pesos. However, coastal ecosystems are related to anthropogenic impacts, which is important to evaluate benthic organisms of commercial importance, bioaccumulate some of these pollutants. The objective of this study is to evaluate mercury (Hg) and organochlorine pesticide (POC) values in edible crab tissue and determine the maximum permissible values. In August 2012, samples of water, sediment and crab, Callinectes bellicosus coffee were collected in 13 coastal lagoons of Sonora and Sinaloa and the presence of Hg and POC was analyzed. The amounts of Hg in water vary between 0.7 and 6.3 μg / l, in sediment from 0.08 to 1.23 μg / g and in edible crab tissue between 0.02 and 0.34 μg / g wet base. On the other hand, POC was detected in crab tissue in four of the 13 coastal coasts sampled: Bahía de Lobos, Yavaros, Laguna Agiabampo and Bahía de Ohuira (0.1015, 0.1484, 0.3190 and 0.2360 μg / gΣ POC b. ). It is concluded that none of the emissions of Hg and POC in edible fabric of brown crab exceeded the maximum permissible limits of the Official Mexican Standard (NOM-027-SSA1-1993) and of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), for products of Fishing, fresh, chilled, frozen and processed for human consumption. |
