| Resumo: | This article analyzes the changes in laws and public policies that allowed the large national private mining capital to obtain a higher level of relevance in the Mexican mining sector; Likewise, it reviews the continuities and contradictions of such a process of capital concentration during the period 1982-2018. It is shown that although mining in the country was historically defined by the weakness of national entrepreneurs, since the 1990s this situation has been reversed and, currently five large local mining groups are those that dominate mining production-metallurgical that Mexico exports to the world, although this has not had positive impacts for the development of the national industry, nor the socio-environmental well-being. |
