Descripción
Sumario:In this novel by Jorge Volpi we discover the great narrative skills this writer has to use different various stylistic devices, among which we find the existence of an omniscient story, a game of mirrors and recurrent rhetorical turns. Intertextual elements are also important. The island of Patmos is specially highlighted as the background of the Apocalypse story in the New Testament, and it will also be the place where the events of the analyzed novel will take place.
