All human beings are equal, there are not too many human natures, there are not even two of them, there is only one, which is placed in bodily form among different human beings. With this last argument, we state that even when we are different, we are at the same time equal; therefore, we affirm that human rights are universal. To recognize the differences is to treat each other as equal beings.El debate en torno a la universalización de los derechos humanos está enmarcado en el dilema real: unidad en la diversidad o la diversidad que niega la unidad. El problema radica en esto: o se acentúa la unidad que subsume a la diversidad, o se acentúa ésta para negar aquélla. Todos los seres humanos somos iguales, no hay muchas, ni siquiera dos naturalezas humanas, sino una sola, encarnada en los distintos seres humanos. Con esta última afirmación, sostenemos que aunque somos diferentes, somos también iguales; con lo cual afirmamos que los derechos humanos son universales.
