Sumario:This article intends to make a balance of marxism as a paradigm of liberation in the Central American region. The author contends that many marxist ideas that were essential part of the ideology of Central American left are aged, and therefore, needed of renovation. However, marxism can be a very consistent thinking for those that are pursuing freedom, social justice and equity if they do an effort of renovation. The following pages must be taken as a proposition in the path of a necessary renovation.
