Studying the Vidrio´s life, as a 20th century woman, has made me aware of my own historicity and also of the possibility of hope through politics, in hopeless times.En este artículo elaboro una propuesta crítica sobre las luchas de mujeres en el marco de la globalización neoliberal. Lo hago a partir de las teorizaciones de la socióloga francesa radicada en México, Jules Falquet y de mi propia experiencia como biógrafa de mujeres, en particular de Lola Vidrio Beltrán (1907-1997), escritora, periodista y activista mexicana, comunista, quien luchó por la igualdad civil, económica y social de las mujeres.
