Sumario:The configuration and sense of the text is a theoretical reflection onthe concepts of political culture and social movement. An account ismade about the work process related to the analysis and criticism ofsocial life in the cities of M6xico. The text is divided into three parts. The first two relate the two interpretive models of social life which correspondto two cycles of intellectual labour; while the last part proposesa perspective based on the most ordered part of the conceptualelaboration. The guiding point of this relation is the reflection aboutthe two aforementioned terms, which are articulated at various timesduring the intellectual work. In a first instance, it is the different theoriesof communication, ideologies, systems and thetheory of action, among others, which form the basis of a proposal about compositionand social organization. Secondly, semiology and urban anthropologyorder the theoretical meditation. Both point towards the conformationof a theory of composition and social organization that is derivedfrom the practical, direct experience of social life.
