Sumario:In carrying out this research, the fundamental objective was to seek a sterilization method that would also be accessible, economical and effective to propose as a routine to the Integral Clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Autonomous University of Nayarit. It was done because in practice, it has been observed, that there were many cases of postoperative pain in the root canal treatments, in such a way that it was wanted to prove if in this phenomenon the sterilization method was to blame. The research was carried out with the instruments of root canal treatments, which the students were using at that time, with the patient of the Clínica de Integral, counting on their unconditional support. The sterilization of the instruments was done in the Clinic of the Graduate Division, where the elements that completed the rest of the proposed methods were available. There he always received support from his nurse, who is trained in the use of them. For the culture of the specimens, the Clinical Laboratory Technique that is in the Microbiology laboratory of this Faculty collaborated.
